SYNOPSIS
In the great nation of Emperor Penguins in Antarctica, you're nobody unless you can sing, which is bad news for Mumble (Elijah Wood), who is the worst singer in the world. But he sure can tap dance. Mumble's mom, Norma Jean (Nicole Kidman), thinks his dancing is cute, but his dad, Memphis (Hugh Jackman), says it "just ain't penguin." Besides, they both know that, without a "heartsong," Mumble may never find true love. His one friend, Gloria (Brittany Murphy), happens to be the best singer around, and the two have a connection from the moment they hatch, even though she has a tough time understanding her pal's eccentricities.

Happy Feet Review
(this might be a little vague, as it has been a while since I watched this movie)
Plot/Setting:
It was a really cute plot. The idea of penguins finding mates through songs was sooo cute! Find your heart song = too cute. Then little Mumble comes out and cant sing! i felt so bad for him, but he totally rocked the dance floor man! lol His dancing was the shixt.
The music was catchy. Really cool with singing penguins.
It was definitely something completely different.
Characters/Actors:
Mumble/Elijah Wood: He was super cute. But he definitely wasnt the best character in the world. I liked him better when he was a baby penguin. When he tried to sing it was hysterical. lol
Mexican little penguin things: They made me laugh my @$$ off. "LET ME TELL SOMETING TO JOU!" haha hilarious. "Sh sh sh...i hear somebody wanting somethin....ME!"
Robin Williams/King Penguin thinger: He was really funny too most of the time. Sometimes he was just kinda there....but he had some good parts. Like when the penguins were lining up to get advice from him because he's like some penguin massiah. "Ladies, avert your eyes cuz i've been KNOOOOOWN to hypnotize!"
Brittany Murphy: Meh. Kinda pointless. I gess mumble needed a REASON to try to sing. The song/dance they do when they finally hook up is really cool. Best scene in the whole movie. So I like her character for that. I don't think she deserved Mumble though. Lol
All in All
Cute with some catchy tunes.
But then some parts were just boring.
And, as you can kinda tell from my shatty review: It's not a movie you're gunna remember much about.
it has memorable parts/lines and a couple characters
but ultimately, i can't find any reason why it particularly stands out.
But i do suggest seeing it!
It is REALLY cute and pretty cool to watch when all the penguins are dancing and what not.
And just go for the little mexican penguins. They rocked my world.
7/10 stars from moi.
