pretty good movie with some pretty funny parts. it didn't have all of the cursing and stuff that other movies like that have. the ending is absolutely great; it practically made the movie. at one point, i thought that there was just too much partying, even for colleges. but then again, that's what hollywood has to put in there. but still was good. i'd recommend seeing this if this kind of movie is stuff that you like.
Plot:
Uuuuh. Ultimately: it's a completely unbelievable and impossible plot. BUT! The idea itself is so out there that it's completely amazing and makes for something totally hilarious. It's so funny that you don't even think about how impossible the whole concept is.
But if you want something believable: Yeeeah. not this one guys. lol
Actors/Characters:
Justin Long/Bartleby: He was awesome. Not the funniest, but a good leading man. He was a rock for the film and he had his funny lines, but mostly he was the cool 'leader type'. Very funny. And his character was easy to relate to.
Jonah Hill/Schrader: Holy CRAP! He is one of two people that made this movie the funniest thing of my life. He was the dork who gets picked on non stop but he has the funniest lines and mannerisms EVER! He was hilarious.
Adam Herschman/Glen: He would be the second person to make the movie as funny as it was. "Go left." "My left or your left?" "I unno. pick one." lol. He's the token idiot that every slapstick comedy must have.
All in All
I don't have too much to say about this movie.
It really depends on your sense of humor.
It's very sarcastic, stupid humor.
so if that's your thing, you'll love it.
It's not any kind of groundbreaking movie
but it's something to rent with friends just to have a light hearted laugh without too much thinking.
for what it is (a comedy): 7/10. it delivers the laughs, but it's not the best chuckle flick out there. by far.
mildly entertaining.
the plot was farfetched.
the cast was okay.
i agree with bekah, the ending was the best part.
there was quite a bit of cursing, but not in the rude, in-your-face, way i was expecting from a teen movie.
the school was South Harmon Institute of Technology.
so you can imagine the puns.
it's a teen movie.
my parents would be like "that was a waste of money" but I enjoyed it.
for me, it was the off-the-wall characters that made it so enjoyable.
Bartleby -- brilliant. I, for sure, couldn't BS my way out of all the situations he was put through.
Glen was hilarious. that's all i can say. hilarious. hilarious. hilarious.
Schrader -- "ask me about my weiner!"
Dean Lewis -- the most crude character. not my favorite character to say the least.
overall:
3/5 stars.
depends on your sense of humor and taste in movies.
if you don't have an random, stupid sense of humor, you may not like it.
and if you're not into shallow-farfetched plots, you won't like it.
those are just my thoughts on it.
